Voices of Tomorrow

At BFF Youth Network, we believe young people deserve more than opportunities to participate—they deserve opportunities to be heard. Our Youth Writing Program was created with that belief at its core, offering young writers the space, guidance, and encouragement they need to tell their stories authentically and confidently.

This year, that belief comes to life in a powerful new way with the upcoming publication of Voices of Tomorrow: A Youth Writing Collection, proudly published through IngramSpark Publishing.

A Platform for Young Voices

The BFF Youth Anthology is a collection of original short fiction written by youth ages 9 to 17 who participated in the BFF Youth Network Youth Writing Program. These young authors explored themes such as mystery, loss, courage, imagination, resilience, and hope, crafting stories shaped by their unique perspectives and lived experiences.

What makes this anthology truly special is not just the talent of its contributors—but the philosophy behind it.

At BFF Youth Network, we believe young writers grow best when their work is guided, not rewritten. Each piece in Voices of Tomorrow preserves the author’s individual voice, style, and creative risk-taking. From eerie suspense and speculative storytelling to deeply emotional, grounded realism, the collection reflects the honesty and originality that emerge when youth are trusted with their own narratives.

Why the Youth Writing Program Is Important

Writing is more than an academic skill—it is a tool for self-expression, confidence-building, and emotional processing. For many young people, especially those facing economic or social challenges, creative outlets can be life-changing.

Through the BFF Youth Writing Program, participants:

  • Develop literacy and storytelling skills in a supportive environment
  • Build confidence by sharing their work and receiving constructive feedback
  • Learn discipline, revision, and creative problem-solving
  • Discover that their thoughts, experiences, and voices matter

Most importantly, they gain the courage to tell their stories without fear of being silenced, corrected out of authenticity, or dismissed.

From Program to Published Book

One of the most meaningful aspects of this program is that participating youth were given the opportunity to see their work move beyond the classroom and into the world.

Being published in Voices of Tomorrow: A Youth Writing Collection is a milestone achievement for these young authors. For many, it is their first published work—a tangible reminder that their creativity has value and that their voices deserve an audience.

Publication through IngramSpark ensures the anthology reaches readers, families, educators, and supporters far beyond our local community, amplifying youth voices on a broader stage.

More Than a Book

Voices of Tomorrow is more than a collection of stories. It is a testament to:

  • Mentorship that nurtures rather than controls
  • Community that invests in young people
  • Creative freedom that allows youth to take risks and grow
  • Opportunity that transforms confidence into possibility

Every page represents a young person who was encouraged to dream, write boldly, and believe their story mattered.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate the upcoming release of Voices of Tomorrow: A Youth Writing Collection, we also look forward to expanding our Youth Writing Program—reaching more young authors, creating more safe creative spaces, and continuing to amplify voices that deserve to be heard.

When we invest in youth storytelling, we are not just supporting writers—we are shaping leaders, thinkers, and changemakers.

Because the voices of tomorrow begin today.
